In May 2021 Rotterdam hosted Eurovision, our class got the unique opportunity to design a poster for a country participating in the competition. 8 posters were selected to be shown on digital boards throughout Rotterdam in the last two weeks leading up to the finale of Eurovision. Out of over 90 designs, mine was selected as one of those 8.

I was assigned Ireland. In an interview Lesley Roy said that her song Maps is about finding your true self, which is what made me go with this visual of a ‘true self’ coming out of someone. I decided to really stick to my own style and used the colours to tie it back to Ireland. I tried to keep the design relatively simple yet intriguing.

The design comes in three different formats: instagram stories, square instagram post and A0.
